Cleaning is about trust for Kate Cornwell – even more than about keeping your home spick and span. “If you are in somebody’s home, they have to like and trust you – you need to build a relationship with them,” she says.
Kate, born and bred in Fulwood, has been in cleaning 23 years and is getting herself back on her feet after a lean time over Covid. She is also available to help older clients with shopping, light gardening, laundry, meals and other chores. Kate offers a “personal, approachable service”, with honesty and high standards. “I clean like I’d want somebody to clean for me,” she says. “If a tenant moves out, I want that property to be in the same condition I would like to move into.”
Kate took a back seat after her son was born, turning down a lucrative Ministry of Defence contract to spend time with him. She also does office and commercial work, including Ribblesdale Auto-Electrics, Preston. Kate, who is CRB-checked and fully insured, does commercial and industrial premises, landlord cleans, caravans (which she also valets) and of course, domestic homes. She also does one-off cleans, deep cleans, removal cleans and more. She also offers an ironing service in the home, or next-day delivery
