Busy builder John Fox continues to flourish after branching out on his own 13 years ago.
Now he employs four staff plus sub-contractors to complete bigger projects such as full house builds and house extensions as well as smaller jobs. John aims to offer friendly service and competitive pricing. “We never turn anything down,” he says, “no matter how large or small the job is.”
John attended Garstang High School and became an apprentice with a local builder, where he spent seven years. He offers an all-round building service. “I do everything from digging the foundations to putting a ridge tile on the roof,” he adds. Smaller work is anything from flagging, building a garden wall or pointing a chimney to drainage, fencing and landscaping. He also does bigger projects such as extensions, new-builds and barn conversions, including a Kirkham care home extension.
Clients include the Hornby Estate at St Michael’s-on-Wyre and recent jobs have included a barn conversion and a two-storey home extension. He also offers a roofing service, doing slating, tiling and repairs, and adds: “Everything has to be efficient and organised. If I give a date, I’ll stick by it.”
