Landscaper Mark Wright treated himself and his wife to a 25th wedding anniversary present

Mark is so enthusiastic about the possibilities of decking that he retired from landscaping and just focuses on decking through the spring and summer months. Full of pride in his work, he shows off this expensive Millboard creation – which is minimal-wear, easy-clean, non-slip even in the wet and guaranteed for 30 years. “People want to be able to walk straight out of their door without a step, which is what you get with decking,” he says. “Decking saves the digging out for a patio so you have fewer labour costs, as well.”
Mark will advise on and install any type of decking – standard softwood, composite and hardwood. His favourite material South Yellow Pine – between soft and hard wood – which also lasts for 30 years. Composite decking, which comes in different colours, is a popular option.
Myerscough-trained Mark, 56, has 18 years’ experience, and can also install raised planters or horizontal fence cladding to enhance your decking.
