Home care has never been more popular due to Covid-19 – and Right At Home is geared up to cope. Inquiries have risen for 24-hour care from families worried about their loved one going into a care home. Joint owners Jayne Price and Karen Myres have trained all their staff in Covid procedures and equip them with the right PPE – and they will not accept referrals direct from hospital. “We have to protect existing clients and our staff,” adds Karen.
The two owners are former safeguarding managers at Lancashire County Council. Karen is an ex-nurse and Jayne has special insight into how her clients feel, having used her own staff to help when she took nine months out of work to care for her sick aunt, who also had dementia. She values the extra mile Right at Home goes in delivering a different approach to care. That means punctual visits of one hour minimum, by the same carer, with the client deciding the time. This and many other traits distinguish Right At Home as a high-quality provider.
Carefully chosen staff are fully trained to provide structured, person-centred care to clients who include seniors and physically disabled people. Karen says: “We create a tailored package to meet the needs of individuals, working with them and their family – they say what is important to them rather than us dictating what they should do. We do all we can to ensure our clients enjoy life at home, in a safe environment, enjoying strong relationships with well-suited carers.”
If you or a relative need help – with shopping, companionship, dementia or personal care, live-in care and more – Right at Home can provide it. They are also recruiting staff and offer training and top rates. See also their reviews on the independent Homecare website. Care Quality Commission rated good in all areas.
