From his service in mine disposal with the Royal Navy to providing supplies and services to his local community – Lee Bamber (above) is a man who prides himself on helping if he can.
The store won the Best Home & Garden DIY Retail Business of the Year in Lancashire in both 2022 & 2023.
‘Aladdin’s Cave’ as the shop is affectionately known as, is located conveniently on Liverpool Road in Longton, with parking outside.
“If we don’t have it we will try and source it for you,” says Lee, 55. He has a range of DIY and gardening equipment, including decorating items, gardening tools and supplies, homewares, seeds and plants; pet supplies and so much more that it is easier to go and see for yourself.
In addition to a vast array of supplies, Lee, from Much Hoole, also offers multiple services to the the community, including key cutting, watch batteries, watch repairs whilst also providing engraving and locksmith services, as well being agents for cobbler and dry cleaning services.
“We really do help wherever we can,” he says, “We even offer free delivery within a five–mile radius when you spend over £35.”

The former Penwortham Priory High School student took over the business in December of 2020 – a time when people needed what Lee now brings.
“We stock the things that people need, and take it to them if they need,” he says.
Lee prides himself on the supplies and services provided and loves to serve and help his local community.
