Established in 1990, HomeCare Mellor has grown steadily to support more than 300 clients with a dedicated team of full and part-time care professionals, coordinators, and support staff. From personal care and dementia support to a friendly face and a chat, they are there when it matters most — helping people live well, safely, and independently in their
own homes. The team delivers a wide range of services tailored to each individual. These include help with dressing, bathing and continence care, medication assistance, meal preparation, and domestic help such as cleaning, shopping, and laundry. They also offer specialist support including dementia and alzheimer’s care, companionship visits, respite and emergency cover, overnight care, and end-of-life care delivered with dignity and respect.
Their carers are fully trained and DBS-checked, and receive ongoing professional development through our internal training programme and partnerships with local colleges. Using the latest digital technology, carers record care visits in real time, giving families peace of mind with access to a secure online care information portal. At the heart of their service is a team approach. Their care professionals are supported by experienced administrators, trainers and service coordinators — all working together to ensure clients receive consistent, high-quality, person-centred support.
The team brings decades of combined experience across health, social care and management, and this depth of expertise is what allows them to go above and beyond every day. HomeCare Mellor is proud to work closely with the NHS, GPs, and Lancashire County Council Social Services. From their base in Mellor, they proudly support clients across Preston, Blackburn, East Lancashire and Chorley. Whether support is needed for just one visit a day or full 24-hour care, they tailor their service to what matters most to each individual and their loved ones.
