Lytham DIY has been a staple in the community for over 20 years, with Jonathan Briffett running the business for the past 15. A former Hutton Grammar student and lifelong Preston local, Jonathan, 50, has always had a passion for DIY, inspired by his father.
Jonathan, along with Rob, Elliot, Tim, and children Ben and Jess, offers a friendly, knowledgeable service that keeps customers coming back.
“Even after 15 years, people still say, ‘I didn’t know you sold that!’” Jonathan laughs.
From sharpening garden tools to key cutting, carpet cleaner hire, the shop covers all bases. They even offer local delivery for a small fee. Stock ranges from gardening and pest control supplies to painting, decorating, electrical, plumbing equipment, tools, timber, ironmongery, door mats, sand and cement, cleaning products and various sizes of plasticware and buckets. You can also find electrical heaters, kindling, firelighters and logs. If they don’t have what you need, just ask — they can likely order it.
“What sets us apart is our free and friendly advice,” Jonathan shares.
“Tell us your problem, and we’ll usually find a solution.” He encourages locals to “skip online shopping — pop in or give us a call”.
