With sadness, and yet pride, Richard Horman took the reins of his late father’s local, trusted company in December 2022. Infinity Airport Services has always served Preston and all its surrounding areas with a smile; always remaining professional, reliable and prompt. “My dad, Bob Horman, served our community time and time again and nothing will change there,” says Richard. “I will follow in his footsteps and keep his legacy going.”
Richard, 39, had worked for Bob for 20 years before Bob’s death, running the office before switching to driving – you may recognise Richard from a previous journey with Infinity. Airport Transfers Lancashire, a name-change sadly forced upon him, continues to offer the same services as before. Richard and his team of drivers will take you to any airport, seaport or other long journey, nationwide, including rail transfers. In 2022, the company was trusted with over 2,000 jobs, showing their popularity. Richard prides himself on being punctual and reliable. “We never take on too much so that we are always available to help when called upon,” he says.
Brought up in Preston, Richard attended Broughton High School, before moving onto Newman College, and then went to work for his father. Richard and his wife now have three children, aged 11, nine and four, keeping them busy. He was forced into looking or work elsewhere by the Covid-19 pandemic as nobody was able to travel. “I ended up working for Amazon, in a great role with plenty of opportunity to progress,” Richard explained. “However, continuing all that my dad did with the company was important to me – and I knew it would allow me to work my own hours around picking the kids up from school, even if it’s just for a couple of days a week,” he added.
