Alison McGrath, Speech and Language Therapist, helps adults with communication difficulties: stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s, stammering, voice, speech sound difficulties and more.
She also supports people needing help with presentation skills, public speaking and general communication. Alison offers bespoke training to care homes and organisations on a range of communication issues.
With over 20 years’ experience, mainly within the NHS, she provides a friendly, professional service with assessment, therapy and advice centred on individual needs. “My approach is holistic and I strive to ensure the impact of your communication difficulty is fully explored with you and your loved ones,” she says. “I build a good rapport with my clients, and we work together to identify what’s important to them.”
Alison has a clinic room in Fulwood and also offers home visits and online sessions. She provides a free, 15-minute telephone consultation to explain how she can help and answer any questions.
“Alison was friendly, encouraging and gave me confidence. She was interested in all aspects of my recovery, and it was a truly holistic approach. I consider that without her help I would have found it difficult to return to a “normal” life and I am forever grateful for her help.” Mr O, a previous client
