Preston residents probably don’t know it … but they’ve already been moved once by the Army Ants Removals and Storage team! A recent project for owner Anthony Walmsley was moving all the archives of the Lancashire Record Office from storage on Preston Docks to its office on Bow Lane in the city centre. “The office stores records of all Lancashire’s births, deaths and marriages, so most people we move have already been moved by us!” said dad-of-three Anthony, who offers domestic and commercial removal with full storage.
Clients include singer Stephen Bayliss, Lancashire County Council and NHS, including work during the Covid-19 crisis. Anthony, 40, said. “We are proud to be part of a trade association, the Alliance of Independent Movers, and we have insurance cover for every item in your house.” From nothing 13 years ago, ex-professional footballer Anthony, whose goalkeeper career with Dundee FC ended due to injury, has built a firm transporting homes across the world.
Army Ants featured on Storage Hunters UK on Dave TV. Eight staff and five vehicles remove households and businesses, including packing if requested, with storage facilities for any length of time and a cleaning service for vacated/new properties.
