Forget about a home from a big estate builder – how about a house built, altered or extended by a “builder from heaven”? That’s how one past customer described Mark Sutton in a newspaper small ad to thank him for the extension he built.
Mark, who has just been joined by son William, an ex-All Hallows pupil, is known for high-quality work, friendliness and fair prices. Mark does all building work, from small joinery jobs to roofing, flooring and more. He always keeps busy with extensions, new-builds, garages and much, much more. Mark aims to have a good relationship with customers and often becomes friends. The ex-pupil of All Hallows RC High School, Penwortham, has 35 years’ experience, with an HNC in Building Studies and a Licentiate with City and Guilds. He does jobs large or small, from fitting a door handle to building an entire house. “We are not bothered what size a job is,” he says. “We will help anyone out – next year they might be ringing for an extension or all their windows changed.” Mark offers a design-to completion service, using an architect for drawings and trusted tradesmen for tasks he cannot do. “The trades we know do it right. It’s easy working with people you know and the job always comes together well.”
Mark does extensions, barn and loft conversions, new build and installs bathrooms and kitchens. He offers uPVC double glazing installation and repairs and is Certass-registered, so gives an insurance-backed guarantee. He will do conservatories, flooring, fencing, fire and flood restoration and disability adaptations (having done many for South Ribble Council) – and more.
See his website. He adds: “We work cleanly. We always take shoes off and vacuum carpets – it’s tidier when we leave than when we arrived.” Mark is in the county council’s safe Trader scheme.
“Mark fitted out my shop and built a big house extension for me. He’s brilliant – reliable, trustworthy, professional – and he does a top quality job, managing everything without any hassle!” Pam Greenwood, of Softly Furnished, New Longton
