Landscaper and builder Stuart Bretherton has spent 23 years working hard to earn a good name. “A lot of my work comes through word of mouth,” he says. “I’m proud that my customers like what I do so much they recommend me to their neighbours, friends and relatives. I’ve got a good reputation, which I am
determined to keep.”
Stuart, 51, has spent many years in Fulwood and recently moved back to the area. “People are often ringing up and asking me to take a look at a job, or give them advice,” he says. “I’m always happy to do that – at any time people want.” Stuart covers a wide variety of tasks with paths, patios and driveways, his speciality, including block paving and porcelain tiling. Stuart also does landscaping, artificial grass, walls, fencing, drainage and turfing.
He is also a builder, doing extensions, garages, property repairs and alterations, as well as roof repairs. A recent popular addition to his repertoire is garden rooms – with many more people working from home. Another speciality is rectifying floor heave, where people’s floors bulge, often as a result of clinker ash problems, common locally. “We do pretty much anything,” he said. “I’m a hands-on boss. I like things to be just right.”
