Checkpoint Motor Accessories has been serving the Fylde coast since 1969, when Phil’s father first set up the shop. Phil (left), grew up locally and joined straight from school, has now been in the trade for over 42 years. Today, he proudly runs the family business, supported by a loyal team.
“We’ve always been about honest advice and customer care,” says Phil. “At least 90% of our business is repeat customers, but even if it’s your first visit you’ll be treated like part of the family.”
That ethos shows in their service – offering a free winter health check, making sure your antifreeze, oil and water levels are where they should be. Regular customers will recognise Mark (right), who is often the one fitting items with a smile.
The store stocks everything from Exide batteries and Bosch wiper blades to Auto Glym car care, tools, technology, fluids and so much more.
With five or six deliveries a day, most parts can be ordered in within 24–48 hours. As Phil puts it: “We’ve served generations of families here – and we’ll always go out of our way to help.”
