Owner Dave Willis and his father Alan have many decades of combined experience of the motor industry. Cop Lane is no ordinary car repair centre – its workshop is spotless, with Dave taking pride in his high standards. “We don’t compromise on quality of service or parts, and we won’t buy the cheapest parts as they can fail prematurely.”
Cleanliness is key to that quality approach. “If you care about your building, it’s clear that you care about your customers’ cars, too,” says Dave. Customer care is top priority – clients receive a phone call or text reminder two weeks before their MOT is due, and service reminder stickers are left in every car. Dave, 42, has been in the business since 2002. With thousands of customers, they repair or service any make of car – with 40 per cent of their work being high end motors.
The garage has the latest computer diagnostic software and does servicing and repairs as well as MOTs, tyres, laser wheel alignment and exhausts. “The thing that stands us apart,” adds Dave “is the level of service we offer. We do the job right and use only the correct parts and oils, especially in servicing.”
