“I’m here to help,” says friendly electrician Carl Wrighton, who does work all over the Penwortham and Longton areas.
Carl, 44, was a Siemens electronics engineer, but branched out on his own as an electrician 20 years ago because he preferred the contact with people. With 28 years’ experience, he is NICEIC-registered as a domestic installer and offers the whole range of electrical services, from installing a light fitting or new socket to fault-finding and full re-wires. New fuse boxes, garage wiring, extension sockets, garden wiring and lighting are all part of his services, plus he will do electrical checks and give the necessary certificates for landlords.
Carl also has plumbing training and will design and install kitchens and bathrooms, using trusted trademen friends to help. He adds: “I like to think I’m friendly, helpful and flexible – I work long hours and Saturdays. No job is too small – it’s surprising how many people want light switches and sockets changing. I can squeeze in smaller jobs in the evenings as I work until 8pm.”
