Business is booming for builder Damian Lee – whether it’s a new-build home like this one, an alteration or a renovation project.
“Covid has not really affected us,” says Damian. “During the first lockdown we shut down briefly, then kept working at the sites where no-one was living and then, six months later, people started realising they had more money after not going on holiday and we have done a lot of renovation work at older properties, plus alterations and extensions.”
Damian and his building team have the imagination and skills to transform your property. He tends to tackle larger projects – single and two-storey extensions and new-builds, work coming mostly via recommendation. “Our reputation is the main reason people come to us,” he says. Damian, who has around 15 staff plus sub-contractors he has used for many years, said people knew they were going to get a good job done for their home alterations or new-builds. Damian, 52, who has run his own firm since 1990, aims to relieve customers of all the hassle by handling everything himself. “If necessary, we’ll provide the plans, do the design work with local planners, handle building control and provide the service to complete the work, from landscaping to a finished house, from new-builds to alterations and conversions.” After Our Lady’s High School, Fulwood, Damian trained as a bricklayer for three years, then did an HNC in Building Studies at Preston College.
