With their Home Consultancy Service you can send photos of your rooms, the fabrics in it and the paints; let the team know what you’re looking for and they will bring suitable samples to you so you can choose from the comfort of your own home! Brother-and-sister team Vicky and Eddy Brown don’t just sell flooring – they transform your home. “We are massively keen on advising,” says managing director Vicky. “We want to ensure that what you get is right for you and right for your room. The family firm, founded by Vicky’s mum, Sheila, has every type of flooring – modern, traditional or simply different. You can trust their service and expertise – they have been supplying businesses and homes for more than 60 years. “We pride ourselves on our customer service,” says Vicky, “from start to finish and after–sales. This is a family business and we treat our customers like family and friends – in fact we recently went to a customer’s wedding. “All our fitters have been with us for 10-plus years and we are very much based on repeat business and recommendations – we even have three generations of customers coming to us, from grandparents to grandchildren!”

You just upload images of your room to their in-store visualiser and see what it will look like with your new flooring in place. It gives you the opportunity to design your own unique floor and try out different styles, layouts and colour schemes to create a stunning space in your home.
Wood Effect Flooring
Gainsborough stock a huge choice of wood-type flooring and luxury vinyl tiles from Amtico and Karndean in their impressive showroom. Extremely hard-wearing, waterproof and capable of being cleaned to look as good as new, Amtico and Karndean carry guarantees of at least 20 years. Gainsborough carry out meticulous under-floor preparation to ensure a great appearance and long life.
Carpets & more!
There is a wide variety of mid and top-range quality carpets, including Brintons, Axminster, Cormar and others. The showroom has hundreds to choose from and they can now bring their showroom to you (ask for more details).
Jacaranda luxury carpets and rugs are also available, all hand-made by craftsmen in places like India and Nepal. They are made from 100 per cent wool and natural fibres and can be shot through with silk.
Alternative Flooring, designer-led and quirky patterns such as spots, zebra and geometric designs. Gainsborough Flooring also does ‘Make Me A Rug’ where you can put together fabrics and edging to design a unique Rug.
Plus, they offer a big ‘Naturals’ range in materials such as seagrass, coir and sisal. There is a large commercial range supplied to many businesses and public bodies across Preston and beyond.
