You don’t just learn to swim at Veronica Rae’s pool – you learn to do it properly.
“So many parents ring up saying their children can swim but their technique leaves a lot to be desired. They come here because they want their children to learn the correct technique,” she says. “We want children to be safe around water.” Thousands of children and adults can vouch for the effectiveness of her teaching over 36 years in business.
It all began when doctor’s receptionist Veronica and her family visited the pool and enjoyed swimming there so much they decided to buy it! Veronica has built up a thriving swimming lessons business – plus she’s hosted countless parties. “Children whom we taught are now coming back with their own children,” she added.
A steady stream of her pupils later join Preston Swimming Club. Veronica has three DBS-checked teachers giving lessons for all ages, from mother and baby and toddler groups to adults, in classes and private sessions.
She hires the pool for birthday parties, with an optional party package, and to groups such as schools, nurseries and other groups. Minibus transport can be provided.
