You’d be pushed to find a friendlier tradesman than John Seed – and his friendliness is matched by his expertise.
If your carpet is filthy, your grout grimy or your tiles terrible, ring John with his floor care solutions – all environmentally friendly. John has been providing expert cleaning for 12 years all over the Preston area since taking redundancy as a printer. ”I wanted to do something more people-orientated,” he recalls, “so I trained with the National Carpet Cleaners Association and built it up from there. I usually chat a bit to people and I enjoy doing a really good job – a big thank-you and people saying how well things have come up makes a big difference to me.”
John, 51, has trained in all aspects of his work to develop his expertise. He uses eco-friendly products and powerful machinery including an orbital scrubber to clean stone, tiles and grout, sealing tiles and grout with a matt, gloss or high gloss sealer to protect against dirt. “I clean and restore all natural stone including travertine, terracotta, limestone, sandstone and Yorkstone.”
For carpets John uses a dry process and a powerful hot water extraction machine for heavily soiled and commercially used carpets. His upholstery machine uses a low-moisture foam to encapsulate and extract dust and dirt, allowing the material to dry in half an hour. It also cleans leather. Other services include spot and stain removal, curtain cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleans, one-off and spring cleans, builders’ cleans and carpet protection. John also renovates and reseals Karndean and Amtico flooring.
Clients include Roccia in Preston, (formerly Tile Mart), David Hall Carpets in Ashton, and Home Based Carpets in Penwortham. Pubs, schools, offices and many domestic customers too.
