Offering many years of experience in fabrics and fashion – plus a home visit and measuring service – Mandy Marshall and her family are well worth a visit. They stock a vast range of soft furnishing options such as curtains and cushions, with ranges to suit all budgets. Marshalls make blinds to match curtains, and offer an upholstery service and fabrics.
The family began trading 55 years ago on Preston Market and Mandy’s brother, mother and father are all still involved to this day. With a fashion degree, friendly Mandy is always happy to help anybody who is stuck when choosing colours and textiles. She says: “It can be a little overwhelming trying to choose a new look for a room in your home – but we are here to help and I’ll happily see people after work at their homes if it is convenient.”
The shop boasts 137 fabric books and a choice of over 2,500 fabrics. More than 130 designs of ready-made curtains with matching accessories are also on show. “Our team provide a full fitting service including tracks, poles and fitments,” explains Mandy. “We encourage people to visit the shop and take samples to try at home. Once happy with their choices, we take it from there.”
