Ogden Design Consultants

Want to lower the cost of your extension, loft conversion or house alteration?

Architectural technician Ryan Ogden says he is not only far cheaper for home owners than an architect but his drawings enable you to get accurate fixed prices from builders.  “I’m friendly, I’m reliable and I’ve no overheads apart from insurance.  It’s just me and a computer,” says Ryan, 37.

He also does commercial and industrial design work such as schools, pubs, factories and shops, having spent much of his working life with architects Cassidy and Ashton, of Preston, and more recently, Northmill of Manchester.  Ryan trained at the Preston firm after leaving Fulwood High School, gaining an HNC in building studies and a Bsc (Hons) in architectural technology from UCLAN.

Having done private work in his spare time, he set up on his own and aims to keep busy, helped by father Alan who owns SEI Electrical, Leyland, Ryan, who can do 3D designs, also works for architects, builders and surveyors, including Bedford Surveyors’ new Preston office at Broughton.  He draws up plans and obtains planning and building regulation approvals.  He can also project manage and does plans for mechanical and electrical contractors to record their fittings.

Ryan also prepares working drawing packages and NBS specifications for contractors tendering for projects.
