Stuart, 61, ran the UK’s biggest independent body repair centre, Banks and Derbyshire in Preston, until selling up with his business partner in 2009. Now happier running a smaller business, he employs 12 staff including administrative help.
He adds: “I really look after people. I know exactly what’s going on with every car – down to every last spot weld.”
Stuart has all the equipment to ensure a perfect repair, including a £40,000 state-of-the-art JunAir Spray booth and the jig needed for body and chassis realignment.
He says: “We repair all makes and models, from the smallest scratch to a most severely damaged vehicle.”
He also handles light commercial and fleet repairs, plus all legal/ insurance issues.
